Dickinson State University

Dickinson State University welcomes the campus and community to attend a presentation by guest speaker Elizabeth Smart Friday, April 19, in Klinefelter Hall’s Beck Auditorium. This event will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

The abduction of Elizabeth Smart in 2002 was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. Fortunately, the police found and safely returned Elizabeth to her family in 2003, after she was held prisoner for 9 grueling months. Through this traumatic experience, Smart has become an advocate for change related to child abduction, recovery programs, and National legislation.
